The TimothyPaul Band was formed in October of 2004, with the intentions of a studio outfit then, to record songs of TimothyPaul’s past writings. But when the founding members; TimothyPaul (Vocals & Bass), TimmyJ (Guitars), Wil Cintron (Keyboards) and Rich Labonville (drums), got together, the songs that were being written could not be kept a secret They released their debut EP in 2005 entitled “You Have To Fix It First, Before You Break It Again” which grabbed the attention of internet viewers and their soon to be record label, Tate Music Group. The album defined a certain sound, “a bit of the old, a touch of the new, with a groove…The East Coast Jive”. Giving them the reputation of “Seattle East”. . Shortly after, Labonville and Cintron, would depart the group. TimothyPaul and his son TimmyJ would not quit this journey. They recruited long time friend and master drummer Bill Holbrook to join the crew, and Alan Labrie on keys.
The band would experience huge success in the independent music scene, catapulting them to the number one band in NH as voted on numberonemusic.com, and being recognized by the IMA (Independent Music Awards). They have taken center stage at such Boston venues as Hennessey’s and Copperfields, but continue to frequent “The Rock” Plymouth, MA at the Guru Room where they have created quite a fan base.
In the summer of 2010, Alan would depart and be replaced with John Leonard on bass, moving TimothyPaul to rhythm guitar and keys. Once again diversifying the music even more than it already was The winter of 2010/2011 looks no worse for the band than gold at the end of the rainbow. They plan to head back into the studio to record their sophomore release “Sidewalks” and then hit the road again.
