2023 Upate: My original profile below, is a little dated, but I felt I'd like to leave it since it's a good story. Still married, same house, same hot mail address, lol, the kids moved out, we rented out their rooms, and we're happily retired now. And, I finally cut my hair. There. Much shorter!
2009: The long version. Left Cheyenne in the spring of '85 and enrolled at UT/Austin; home of the Longhorns! Met my best friend and many others and still hang out with them. Spent way too many years cooking my way through college. After many restaurants, a few cafeteries, and countless cuts and burns, switched to liquor stores, loading trucks, and eventually, social services. s in the mornings, somehow, turned into a full time, evolving, 20 years later, "how the hell did I get here?" career. Apparently, I interview well. Even with the long hair. Currently, supervising a statewide program that pays Medicare premiums for Texans and redesigning the ancient Buy-In computer system into a modern, real-time, oracle thing of beauty. Speaking of beauty; met a girl, fell in love, got married, bought a house, had a boy and a girl, a few dogs, countless cats, an iguana, mice, snakes, missing mice, missing snakes, one fish, soccer games, dance classes, karate tournaments, homework, lots of love, affection, good times, bad times, fun times, burning mans, fantastic parties, giant light and art sculptures,and still together as the perfect couple after twelve years.
