Safety at USC. My last and most enjoyable 15 years was spent working at the Napa County Airport in the Departments Aviation Support program. During this time I worked to expand the unit by adding an airplane program, expanded the helicopter program to include emergency medical services and coordinated the design and construction of a new CHP aviation center at the Napa Airport. On March 3, 1999, I retired with 31 years, 2 months and 1 day of service. In 1985, Pat and I purchased a Cessna Skyhawk and travelled all over the United States with our oldest daughter Keri and her friends. That was a great experience. Shortly after we bought the plane Pat learned to fly so she served as my auto pilot. Boy did Pat hate it when she'd be flying and I take a nap.
The day after I retired from the CHP, I joined my wife Pat in real estate. We had opened a Prudential California Real Estate office in 1996 and she built it into the top office in Rohnert Park.
Over the next few years we puchased several motorhomes and travelled extensively with our youngest kids, Katie and Kevin. They've visited 46 of the 50 states including Hawaii and Alaska.
In 2000, I joined Rotary. In 2006-2007, I served as my club's President.".
