Tina's Story
Life
After graduating in 1976 I went to San Diego Mesa College and earned my AA, intending to transfer to USC for Occupational Therapy. Instead I took a break from school and then moved to LA in 1982 to learn about and volunteer in the audio engineering department of my church. I also started teaching preschool and prekindergarten. After 17 years in LA I wanted to move and decided to try going back to school in Honolulu for Speech Therapy. I moved to Hawaii in 1999 and started school in 2000. ed to Maui in search of work. I became involved in the conservation of Hawaiian plants and the preservation of Hawaiian culture. In 2005 I met my husband, Dean, through some mutual friends. We became engaged in October 2005 and inherited his 12 year old niece at the same time. We moved from Maui to Colorado in July 2006 and married in July. We have a wonderful home, three horses, four dogs and I belong to a great church that's like family to me. There's been a lot of snow this year, but I'm loving Colorado and feel very blessed in all that's happened in my life.
