Tina's Story
In high school, I was very different and always seemed like a square peg in a round hole. Today I am working on my bachelors degree in theology, am one of two salaried ombudsmen for the southern 13 Counties of Illinois, am a certified chaplain and have a gospel music group of which I am the lead singer. The group is called UpLift and includes a prison ministry, nursing home ministry, Mexico mission, prayer shawl ministry, music ministry, toy ministry among other outreaches. My group belongs to the Western Kentucky Gospel Music Association and group information and picture can be accessed at wkgma.com and clicking on members, then UpLift. We promote gospel music in the tri-state area and sing at many benefits such as autistic children, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, as well as local causes. We also sing at the Spring and Fall Gospel music conventions in Kentucky and have appeared at local churches, Trader's Mall and were briefly on the telethon making a donation last year. We have just recently raised over 3000 dollars for our annual mission trip to the foothills of Mexico near Linares and are planning to go despite the problems at the border. I have 5 children and one step son and am currently waiting for my 8th grandchild. My brother, Joseph Cerny still lives in Hawaii. My sister, Joliene currently lives in Texas. My oldest daughter is an ordained minister and youth pastor. I am hoping to hear from several old classmates in...Expand for more

_______________________________________
I always wanted to be a nun when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were not as right as they throught..
My favorite way to relax is singing.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, sunshine, and music to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My inspiration comes from God.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Roger Calhoun, because he left a lasting impression on my life..
I love Survivor. I have a miniature dachshund named Israel.
To be kind to them because they choose your nursing home (smile).
If I won $100 million, I'd give ten percent of it to the church, then spend the rest on my , ministry and those in need.
My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong and have just begun to live. I have returned to school, have the best job ever and have just been told to consider moving up. I am out doing God's work, singing, and enjoying life tremendously!
My first job was at Dole Pineapple Cannery, where I got paid little of nothing to trim pineapple off a coveryor belt.. What I remember most about it is I hated it!.
