Tina's Story
Life
I like all of us have gained some weight, but its earned...from military service to 2 kids and college, which I am still going, and being a Navy spouse I cut myself a lot of slack. I always consider NC as home and still long to get back there someday. The rest of my family lives there still. I hate leaving friends lost, from becoming older and wiser I now value everything life gives, even when the redhead and Jeff Blake made fun of me on the bus, it was to make me stronger, and I am. I always look back to my days at Pisgah fondly. I am glad I had Basil, Kerry and Jennifer as Pals. I loved Ms. Passmore, she and I were the only ones to laugh at the joke in one of Shakespears Plays. I loved when the band went to Daytona and we won! what you do makes you who are.
School
Because my dad traveled so much I was always the new kid. I ended up with 7 high schools in 4 years. My last was MarVIsta where I enjoyed NJROTC and Drama, not to mention only living a block from the beach was a blast. CDR. Gumb was on of those old gruff military people that you had to admire.
The school I felt most at home was Pisgah in NC. I had my first real boyfriend Basil Deaver, wow was he a hottie! and living with my granparents were years well spent. I...Expand for more
miss them so much. Mr. Poston encouraged me so much in Biology.and when the band went to Daytona Beach and won that was great!
At Thornton High in Colorado I did have some fun in band and had a mojor crush on my best friend Brian. I hated to take drivers ed in the snow.
Basic high in Henderson NV was a real memory maker. I remeber painting the big B on the mountain I remember biology and how I sort of had a crush on the teacher, but encouraged me so much. I was funny the boys I had crushes on (Paul in band, and that cute redhead Kurt), I ran away from, never even spoke to them. Kelli was the only person close to my size and she was fun, she liked to ride motorcycles like my brother did. and misunderstood Karen, she figured out what boys were for before anyof us. I miss riding skateborads with Maria Domingas and her brother Eric was such a little cutie. the Eckman family started my lifelong endeavor to learn about new religions, they were mormon. but I found out that any preachers sons are always the worst.
College
I was an older non-traditional student. none of the young kids wanted to hang out with someone as old as there mom. i came to western with 2 AS degrees but they got me nowhere the college BA helped me open doors.
