T's Story

Update- October 2015. My baby is growing up. He is four and a half and so loveable, happy and beautiful in so many ways. My kitties have died and I acquired a shih tzu puppy we name Mickey Anastasia. She is smart, sweet and a ball of energy, like Phillip. Both wear me out. I still work for the credit union, training new tellers. I love what I do. I meet so many wonderful new people. Still live in Waterford, Michigan...but travel as often as possible to the beach. Phillip, my son loves the beach! Otherwise life as about the same. Thankfully I am still semi healthy. Update- July 2012- Yep, had a baby, last year February. His name is Phillip and he is an angel baby but currently curious and into everything. I should have been a few years younger for the energy that goes along with running after a child! He is so much more fun now is 16 months and he is older. I never thought I would see my house turned into a play area and my new cabinets scratched up and covered in babyfood. Oh well just goes to show we never know the direction life will take. My sister would have been so excited to see this if she were here. She loved babies and always thought I should be a mom. I never gave it much thought until he came along and I learn more about being a mom daily. Otherwise life is progressing the same. Work in Auburn Hills now and train people to be tellers for the Credit Union. Love it, a lot like teaching! Hope all have a wonderful 4th of July Holiday, until next update! :) Update-March 2010 Just celebrated another birthday. Doesn't feel like I am a year older. My sister just passed away in February. Has been a devastating ordeal for us all. We are all really close, my siblings and I, so this was a horribly sad event for us. Becky was one of my best friends and I miss her daily. She went to Walled Lake Schools through Middle school, so some of you may have had siblings who went to school with her. She had a long battle with Glio Blastoma which is a form of Brain Tumor, often fatal. She left a husband, and two children. I am running/walking a 5k in May for her in Yspilanti. I am trying to raise money so anyone interested out there...I have a sight you can go to on my facebook page or go to american brain tumor association and click on May 8th, Glio Blastoma race and type in my name. They accept anything and everything, large or small. Otherwise life is about the same. I will update periodically. Update, September 2009 Well working for the same place, just went through a name change and conversion. Still in the area and currently on a little vacation, which is winding down. Nothing new to report but when you get older that might be a good thing. Taking a lot of time off, cause I took no time off the first six months. Family is all good. Siblings and parents well. Not looking forward to winter, but do love the Fall. Hopefully it will last longer than last year. Wondering if anyone is going to try and schedule a reunion for our class...later! Update life May 2008 Well still working in Wixom. All is well except the drive to home everyday. Who would have thought that 12.5 miles could take so long. I just got done with a week long vacation and did absolutely nothing but productive things around home. You know, those things I have been putting off cause free time is too valuable. Didn't end up traveling anyplace this year so far. Might vacation locally later this summer. Had another birthday, did the full round of doctors checkups to make sure everything is running like it should be and I am happy to say, all is well...Mike is well, driving me crazy like always. The pets are fine, I am happy to report. Aside from thee fact that Ambrose is getting old, he is doing good. Patton is doing well too, getting fat and sassy. Just did the ceremonial summer haircut. Not sure whether or not I like it yet...Well, that is it for now, I will update when there is more to report... Life Updated July 6, 2007 I live not too far from where I grew up. I have 2 cats named Custer and Ambrose (after civil war generals) and a long time man that I met in college. I have a degree in Art Education with a minor in history. I am currently working a job that has nothing to do with my degree. I bought a house which I am in my third year of fixing up. I love travel, reading, writing, music, art, old movies, military everything and anything historical. I work out regularly, try and eat right but don't seem to get enough sleep. I love sunny, warm weather (not really Michigan weather)and sitting out in the sun reading good books. A perfect day is spending time on the wate...Expand for more
r, with a glass of chardonnay. I am completely nostalgic about High school and college, but realize more and more everyday that ha...I am getting old. Update- Well it is the new year and let me fill you in on what is new in my life. I am still in the same house and and sadly I am down to one cat. Custer had to be put down on Monday and it was a very sad and difficult week for me. I know it sounds crazy but when you have a pet it becomes part of the family and it is difficult to say goodbye. Work is good, starting off the new year busy. I took a few vacations to end the summer to warmer places...that was nice. Otherwise life is about the same. I am a year older, quickly aproaching a birthday...now on a lighter note I am in the process of adopting another cat from the humane society. His name right now is Dustin and he is a siamese, maincoon mix. He is adoreable but the name will have to be changed pronto...Ok I renamed him Patton, sticking with the tradition of naming my animals after generals. I am officially a year older today and it is still too soon to tell how I feel about this. I will let you know in a month or so if I feel any different! Well it is summer 2007 and have things changed for me lately. My job has been done away with so I am being gently forced to take a new position within the same company. It has been an interesting two weeks with all the training I have had to endure. Unfortunately there is lots more where that came from. I celebrated yet another birthday and spent it in sunny California. This was the perfect distraction from turning 40, yes I admitted it, I am now 40 years old. I flew into LA, spent a day there before going up to Bakersfield for an AFI concert (my favorite group), then back down to LA for a movie premier, came face to face with my favorite actor. Now that was cool! Eventually we made it up to San Francisco, driving pacific coast highway 1 and when I say it took hours to drive, I am not kidding, nine to be exact. Went to Alcatraz and really enjoyed my stay...ha. It was beautiful though. Loved California, could move there tomorrow to be quite honest with you. Otherwise, the boys are all doing well, health wise I am doing well also. Still in Waterford and loving the summer weather. I have a fun car (mazda 6) that I pull out when the weather finally breaks for the better. I will update you all again once something real exciting happens in my life. Aug. 3, 2007 Not much new to report. Continuing to endure endless hours of training. I will move into my new position officially in September and moving to a new location, Wixom. Still enjoying the "dog days" of summer. I have a vacation coming up but have no idea where to go for it. Thought about Vegas but it is so hot out there right now and I have been there a few times already so it might be nice to go someplace different. Thought about doing a whirl-wind trip to Europe (Paris or something) but haven't made up my mind. Still mad at the french for hating Americans...ha. Otherwise I continue as always, working, living, enjoying my car. I just got my hair cut off short for the end of summer. Love the style, very trendy...I can liken it to Victoria Beckham's hair (since her picture was the inspiration). I love it, Mike hates it, School My biggest highschool crush was John Miller. A year behind me but I didn't care. I used to follow him around in the halls and hope he wouldn't notice that everywhere he went, I seemed to be. Now I guess they might call that stalking.Ha. I loved school, crazy huh? Who would have thought. If you consider how much I didn't study, if I actually had I could have been an all A student. I really have nothing bad to say about my four years at Walled Lake Central. My teachers were helpful and more than pleasant. College My roommates in college were also my sisters. It saved my parents from having to buy three of everything. I absolutely loved the college experience and made the most of it. Staying up too late, getting up too early and never getting enough good food or sleep. I met a lot of really great and diverse people but I learned through the years to appreciate everyone for their gifts, talents and personalities. I met some great guys along the way, and if any of you read this, thanks for the memories. I do wonder sometimes where I got the energy to stay out so late and where I found the time to do any studying. Workplace I work for a credit union doing Indirect Loan processing. It has nothing to do with my degree but it pays the bills. I don't mind my job and it is not too long of a drive, so that makes it rather convenient.
