Sample of a 3 minute speech on cable tv at a school board meeting representing CADD. My name is Tina. It's great to be here today to speak on behalf of CADD, Christians Against Drunk Driving. I am here to talk about building students character. I've learned that progress in not achieved by intention alone. All of our voices are needed in prayer. Being responsible Moms and Dads is one of our highest callings. No matter what our faith, race, ethnic origin, age, or economic status. Ambitious men and women have to completely transform themselves in order to advance this great social cause. Children have a hidden supply of creativity and potential, to develop parents must take the time to listen, train, encourage, urge, object, support, and fashion. Public schools where prayer is banned and where the teaching of morality is shunned all that is left is clear academic knowledge. Students cannot tell right from wrong. Teachers must uphold the importance of knowledge without leaving out the history of biblical values, character portrayals, moral extremes, ethical standards and the value of virtues like love, faith, wisdom, and self control.
