Mom, Dad, itâs me. Iâm still here. I know itâs hard to believe sometimes or understand in the way I try to show you, but Iâm still me. I hear you talk to me several times a day. When you hear nothing back, or you say I donât answer, that doesnât mean Iâm not right there next to you, smiling. I smile because I know things you wonât know until the day I reach my hands out to you and weâre together again in a more familiar way. In the meantime, I will keep trying to show you Iâm okay and still around. If a friend or relative calls to tell you they got a sign or had a dream of me, please know that I tried to reach you first but the line was busy, or full of pain. When you quiet your mind and learn to clear the clutter, I can get through better. Tell my brotherâs and sisterâs to live for me, and do things to make me proud. If they donât want to talk about me, itâs just that the pain is too much to bear so they bury it to survive. Let everyone in the family grieve in their own way. Try to laugh again and get out of the house. When you can do that, it sends waves of love through my being. Let go of unwanted and useless feelings like guilt, anger and fear. I canât break through those. Hereâs how I let you know Iâm not dead; just different: Iâm the butterfly that dances around you as you walk. I make rainbows appear even when there is no rain; I made that red dragonfly land on you as you thought of me. The hawk sat perched outside your kitchen window and then swooped down as you stood on the deck or in the car. I keep making my song come on and you know itâs me. I stand beside your bed and brush my hand against y...Expand for more
our face. I sent a text or phone message after I passed-yup, Iâm amazing. I can do things you canât wrap youâre brain around. You saw my face in someone else-itâs called transfiguration. I was the old guy who smiled at you or the strange woman who asked you a poignant question. The woman in the mall called out to her sonâ¦it was my name. I saw you get the tattoo my brother, and I canât believe my sister got one too. Mom always hated tattoosâ¦now she has one. Dad, you taught me so much. I didnât get the chance to thank you so Iâm doing it now. Itâs never too late to say I love you. Hug my siblings and do things that are out of character for you. Mom and Dad, my siblings think they lost me and you. The best gift you can give me is that you will promise to live for me and I will live through youâ¦you will see me again one day, but until then, LIVE, LAUGH, and celebrate my memory. We are so much more than this physical vehicle that drives us around for awhile. Lift your head up and run around the bases, sliding into home, into my arms. Iâm not dead; Iâm just different.--Maureen Hancock
We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight
2 Corinthians 5:7
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:162
"Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal."
~Author Unknown
"Angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are
gone."
~Author Unknown
"Breathe.
Listen for my footfall in your heart.
I am not gone but merely walk within you."
~Nicholas Evans
"And if I go while youâre still hereâ¦
know that I live on, vibrating to a
different measure behind a thin
veil you cannot see through. You
will not see me so you must have
faith. I wait the time when we can
soar again, both aware of each
other. Until then, live your life to
its fullest, and when you need me
just whisper my name in your
heartâ¦I will be there."

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you
â1 Peter 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of Godâs grace in its various forms.
Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. ~ Eskimo proverb
Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.
~Mother Teresa".
