Tina's Story
Howdy! Hopefully we saw each other at the 20 year reunion. If not, here's my life in a nutshell:
I've been hangin in Houston for about 15 years. Got a house, a 9-year old boy, a good dog, a great gig running a golf course, an incredible husband-to-be and life is just pretty excellent.
I left school to be an Aggie and eventually they kicked me out with a degree in marketing. Along the way I worked alot, played alot, and dabbled a bit in psychology and literature. "I learned alot at A&M and I went to class sometimes, too!"
I had a mid-twenties crisis when I realized that I had been making more $$ bartending in school than I was in my "REAL" job so one day I just quit. I traded in the salesperson sedan for a Miata and went back to bartending. 8 months later I was the regional training manager for Outback Steakhouse (what are these people thinking?). er get married. Not exactly the wisest realization: I married a fellow Outbacker, had a beautiful son with him, divorced the Outbacker (and subsequently the company) and kept the son. I was very lucky that I married a man with a very good heart but no amount of trying could make him the right man for me and so I moved on...
To a golf course. I started as a Food & Beverage Manager and took over the accounting role as well. Next thing I know, I'm offered my own club (again - what are these people thinking?). I've been there 2.5 years now & it's truly a great gig!
Oh, yea - and the guy. THIS JUST IN: Philip and I are getting married in December of this year. I'm inheriting 2 "borrowed" daughters, a fishing cabin, and a gutted house in Galveston. He's getting me for the rest of his life. I think I'm getting the better deal; he thinks he's getting the better deal - perfect match!
I hope you have recovered from high school as well and I would love to hear from you - life just keeps getting better & better...
