Tina's Story

Life Here’'s what I‘'ve been up to lately: My husband Scott joined the USAF right out of HS in 1974 and we lived in VA,(1 yr to Alaska for Scott), Omaha, SanAntonio, and Richmond as he did college/grad school and IT work for DoD. Scott left the AF in 1995 and went to work for the World Bank in DC managing their Financial Systems-we lived in Ashburn, VA for 9 years. I stopped working in advertising to spend more time with our daughter going into college (UVA) and our son into high school. Traveling frequently with Scott; Shannon to Peace Corps (Cameroon) and graduate school (Columbia-NYC); Ryan through HS and college(USF)and time in Patagonia kept me more than busy. We moved to Annapolis, MD in Nov 2004 to a water front property that enables us to have our sailboat docked at our back door and spend lots of time on the water. d we are going sailing in the Caribbean on a 42ft catamaran we had built. Ryan is a GIS Analyst in St Pete, FL and spends lots of time on the water. Shannon and family continue to give me great places to visit as they work with NGOs around the world - having lived in NY, Paris, Bujumbura & Port au Prince so far. - I enjoy traveling to see the kids often. I also travel with Scott when I can on his business trips and have been to Thailand, Cameroon, Madagascar, France, England, Switz, Germany, Scotland, Mexico, Iceland, etc. In 2007 we traveled to Australia and New Zealand to visit some sailing friends. We love Annapolis!! Jan 2010 Update - as of Jan 16th, Shannon and her children are living in Santo Domingo, DR having just evacuated from PaP that day - all are fine. Her husband is Dep Head of Pgms for Catholic Relief Services in Haiti, so needs to stay in Haiti as he has a huge task.
