More about Tina:"I am discovering that being in my 50's is the best time of my life. I know who I am: a Beautiful, Responsible, Healthy, Joyful Woman! I serve an extraordinary God; Jesus Christ. I attend Mountain Springs Church, where I get to serve in the Prayer and Connect Ministries. I am married to a deeply committed man who truly understands what "for better for worse, in sickness and in health" means. (Thank you Dave for 27 years of friendship...for staying the course through the difficult married years - for helping me to "lighten up" & showing me how to laugh :0). Indeed the best is yet to be! I love you dearly.) Together Dave and I parented 39 foster children. Today, we are the parents of 3 beautiful children, born in my heart many years before they came to our home at the ages of 10, almost 9 and 18 months. As of this writing, they are 18, 17 & 10 - (Abigail, David and Skyla; you are my pearl, my diamond and my gold. I know with complete certainty that I was born to be your mother.) adult, Hospice quickly became my specialty with the majority of my career in San Diego, CA. Helping people achieve emotional and spiritual peace was very tender and rewarding. My career however, took a different turn when I moved to CO in 1999. After successfully avoiding work in the child protective services arena...I ended up landing smack dab in the center of CPS here. Although health issues caused me to retire earlier than I planned, the time understanding the needs and laws for children in CO certainly paved the way to become skilled foster parents and find my forever children. My life has not been easy. Three auto accidents, 13 surgeries, obesity, chronic illness & depression used to define me. NOW, as I began this profile, NOW: I AM A BEAUTIFUL, RESPONSIBLE, HEALTHY AND JOYFUL WOMAN. If you are still reading this, you can see that I used to care for those who were dying inside - whether they were ill or in foster care. The truth however, was that I was dying on the inside too. Until the fall of 2013 when God sent me someone who gave me two very special gifts. All you have to do is look at my before and after pictures to see what these gifts did for me. They changed my life so completely: spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. I am happier than I ever knew was possible. I dream again and best of all, I am not only achieving my dreams - I get to help others go for their dreams too. Having the tools to enjoy a bountiful, fun exciting & healthy life is making this chapter of my life, the greatest it has ever been.".
