Tj's Story

Life I've never been married and don't have any kids. I own my own house and several businesses. I date a lot. Play a lot. Have fun working at what I do for a living. (filmmaker) I'm in contact with a few of my old classmates from Willowbrook. I never thought about HS much in the years after it because I was just too busy having fun at what was going on. I've been leading a fun and full life so far and plan on keeping it up. School My biggest "crush" at Willowbrook was being up by the doors of the Auditorium on the night they showed American Graffiti. The crowd was literally crushing us against the doors. As for crushes on girls... It was Kristy McGowan. No doubt about it. The teacher that inspired me most was Mr. Weber (Aircraft Construction) Do it all over again??? If I knew then what I know now, Sure. If I had to do it all again blindly... What the hell. Why not. Best day at Willowbrook... the day we took over the radio station. (that closed circut thing that went into the cafeteria) You know, looking back, I had it pretty good. Tom Domin might have had Corrine Gianorio but I dated some of the cutest girls at Willowbrook, AT, and Glenbard East that weren't part of the A list crowd. Which is better? I guess it depends on your point of veiw. (BTW, Jill Duffin, if you are out there and reading this somewhere, you just might have been the best kisser I've ever known! And that's saying something!) College Well, What can I say about SIU in 75-76... Its mostly a blur of parties booze and drugs. One of the best years of my life! I finally came into my own physically. (I was always a bit skinny and geeky in HS) I bulked up and got a shot at walking on to the Salukie football team (me, playing football! Imagine that) I would have been pretty good too but I got severe food poisioning and lost 30 pounds. Oh well. Chased a girl down to Cairo, Illinois af...Expand for more
ter dropping out and lived there for a year and a half. What a life changing experience that was. I worked as an EMT on the Ambulance service for a year. Met the only girl I probably ever should have married and promptly blew it (somewhat on purpose but thats another story for another time) Moved back to the Chicago Area and eventually went to work for Playback. (remember "The Electronic Playground"?) Ran their Car stereo Division until they folded and then moved out to Oregon where I live now. Workplace I've been lucky to work a lot of different jobs over the years. I never would have been able to hold down one job forever. Some of the highligt jobs though were EMT in Cairo, IL on the Ambulance service, Running Playback's Car Stereo Division, Shooting stills (photos) at big stadium concerts (Yes, Genisis, Supertramp, etc) for Jam Productions, Owning and running my own Art Photography Gallery out here in Portland, Touring with a band all over the west as a sound engineer, And most recently, working in the film industry on films like Drugstore Cowboy and My Own Private Idaho. Lately, I'm making my own films. Writing, Producing, Directing. I'm also teaching filmmaking and working on other people's small independent film projects as a DP/cinematographer. My most recent gig was as Viggo Mortensen's Stand In on the upcoming movie "The Road". I also got to work with Charlize Theron on that one. *update* May, 2022… Still doing well! Still never married/no kids (biological) but have two kids that call me “Dad”. 🙂 they are both Awesome humans! 23 and 26. Recent college grads. Not doing filmmaking yet again due to the pandemic but soon! I also started my own small construction company and have been extremely successful doing that. Still healthy, happy staying trim and fit. 175 lbs! Young despite the years LoL Hope everyone else is doing well too!
