Toby's Story
I don't remember who my high school counselor was at Pleasant Hill High in 1968, but when I asked which college I should attend he looked at my transcripts and said, "I wouldn't bother."
My life has been one incredible adventure after another. In the past 5 years my wife and I got to live for a year in a Catholic seminary in Washington DC; finished a dissertation for a doctoral degree; worked at Ground Zero for 9 months; and consulted churches in ways to become more effective in blessing t...Expand for more

In 2005 I served as a Chaplain on a federal disaster medical team that worked in the SuperDome during the Katrina Hurricane. It was a terrible-honor.
I founded a group called, First Response Chaplains, to serve as law enforcement chaplains in northern California. I love my life!
We now have two precious grandchildren. What a joy!
My life motto comes from Ephesians 3.21, "God is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we are able to think or imagine . . . ."
