Toby's Story
Life
After a lifetime in Orlando, I've finally moved out of state. Tracy, my wife, was transferred to the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Fort Collins is amazing, and constantly makes the various lists of best places to live. It's much smaller than Orlando with a population of about 140,000 people. It's the home of Colorado State University and a very forward thinking community. We've got great public transportation, plus the widest bike lanes I've ever seen. There are also a plethora of cultural events including a variety of concerts, many of them free, as well as art galleries, theaters, and museums.

great historical collection, and artifacts dating back between 10,000 to 11,000 years ago - the oldest known evidence of human occupation in North America. Seems like this has always been a great place to live.
After spending the last 40 some years just a few feet above sea level, being between one and two miles up has been something of an adjustment. Not to mention the low humidity; it's nice being able to walk outside and not feel as if someone has wrapped you in a hot wet blanket. Oh sure, there's the occasional blizzard, but they're really not that bad if you've got a good book, a stack of logs for the fireplace, and plenty of hot chocolate. Let's just say that removing snow from the driveway is much easier than getting rid of an oak tree that's been blown over by a hurricane.
