James's Story
Life
I live in Richmond, Virginia where I attended college. I settled on a job after being a musician didn't pay all of the bills. I spent 10 years in a band, playing all of the local spots around the region. I quit my job as a purchasing agent for HCA Healthcare here in town back in 2004, in order to go to grad school at the University of Richmond, and to be a stay at home dad. I married my wife Kim (whom I met on a blind date) in 1995 and we have 3 kids, Abigail (16), Grady (family name, he's 12), and Emily (6).

College
Too many late nights, too many gigs and too much guitar. I spent my college years in a local metal band, that was a minor success in the area. As a result, it took me a bit longer to get out of college. I wouldn't trade it though for anything. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where I got my Undergrad Degree in History, and attended the University of Richmond, where I received a graduate degree in Information Systems Management. I love history, as anyone who knew me in High School knows, and pursued my undergraduate studies in History, with an emphasis on Colonial American History and the History of Warfare in general.
