Todd's Story
Life
I have been married since 1989 to my wife DeeDee. She and I have 3 beautiful daughters ages 15, 12, and 7. My oldest is a sophomore in high school. She just made the cheersquad and is on the honor roll (is that my daughter?) we are very proud of her and our two other beauties. My middle daughter is going into JR high and she is into acting and also a very good student. My baby is going into 3rd and also a very smart little peanut, she is trying to act as well.
We own a home in La Quinta near Palm Springs and have lived here since about 1998.
My mom still lives in Santee, my stepdad passed away the first of the year and it has been tough on my mom, but she is doing ok.
I still have season tickets to the Charger games and drive down for all the games. Had them since 1987.
Myself and some others friends tailgate in the M4 under the trolley bridge, so if you are ever there come by and say hi.
I miss all my old pals very much. Would love to hear from anyone.
Your friend and classmate,
Todd "Spanky" Cantrell
College
After high school I went to Grossmont College for a while. Really was there to play baseball and when I busted up my hand and ...Expand for more
couldn't play anymore I lost interest in school. (I did help Pat Olson get through Criminology and now he is a cop, your welcome Pat).
Workplace
I currently work as a sales manager for US Food service. Before that I worked for Sysco Foodservice. Also owned my own produce company for awhile.
I may be owning another business soon, looking at a couple sports bars that are for sale. Love my sports, why not make some money from it.
Military
After leaving college I was kind of lost a bit. I worked here and there. (had a lot going on in my head at that time) I needed to get away from home and try and clear my head. So Shane Minter (God rest his soul) and I joined the Army.
I served 3 years in the Army. Stationed in Georgia mostly. Went to Germany for a short time, and Honduras (but officially we weren't there if you know what I mean.)
After the Army I came home to San Diego, I did stay in the Army National Guard until 1992, I left as a staff sargent. I worked along the border with the Border Patrol looking for drug smugglers and also was called to the LA Riots in 1991.
I'm a disabled veteran and a member of the DAV and also an American Legion member.
