Todd's Story

Workplace I'm a Jack-of-all-Trades kind of guy. Done all sorts of work in my life, driven cab, tended bar, worked on a barge, counter-espionage work in Germany while in Military, owned a business, Yep, I can and have done a little of everything. I have finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up, though. I want to retire from my own business. I used to own one with a business partner. Don't ever have a business partner, it's like a bad marriage...you won't get any sex, but you'll sure get screwed!! Getting ready to open another business, no partners. Hopefully I'll make as much with this one as I did with the last one... Was in a car crash in 2003, I probably would have done better if I had been in a car, suffice it to say that the sidewalks in Vegas are dangerous places to be. I now have some facial scars and a bad memory. In 2006 I went to Europe, again, landed in Manchester, England hoping to see a Manchester United game(same team as mentioned in the movie Eurotrip), but Man U had an away game that weekend so I saw Manchester's other pro football team play. Manchester City won 3-2. Took train to Edinburgh, Scotland and spent way too much money, but the Haggis was delicious. Took train through London to Brussels Belgium, I still love Belgian Waffles, but the city was pretty boring. Took train to Frankfurt, spent the night and left the next day since my favorite pizza parlor in the world (Pizza Joe's just off Kaise Strasse) was no longer in existence. Train stopped in Zurich and I had 8 minutes to get to the train to Milan, I found my train and had 2 minutes to spare. Milan was wonderful, went clothes shopping (and found out that at 6 foot tall and 220 pounds I am too big for many places i...Expand for more
n Milan to carry clothes in my size, the fashionable little twigs), ate wonderful food, met a ton of interesting people threw a party in the youth hostel, a wonderful time. From there I went to Monte Carlo and did some gambling and ate more wonderful food, I spent the night at a hotel accross the border in Bouselies France to save about five hundred dollars for a one night stay. I then took the train to Paris, France where I had a wonderful time and was treated fantastically by all. As it turns out the French people love Americans, but most Americans start by speaking English instead of asking (in French) if the person speaks English (which they all do), and that makes them very mad and they will treat you as a rude foreigner for being so rude. I actually had a beautiful young French girl make it very obvious that she wanted me to bring her home to America with me. Too bad I was still married at the time. France is wonderful. From Paris I went back to Frankfurt for another day so I could make a day trip to Wiesbaden where I was stationed when the wall fell. The next day I went back to London, spent the night, and was escorted to the Airport in the back of a police van. The whole trip took 18 days and I spent about 12k. It was worth it. I am currently in Mehtar Lam, Afghanistan. I love this place, it is just like Las Vegas in the 70s; a hot desert with mountains surrounding the area, lots of new construction, and a bunch of anti-establishment assholes that are trying to fill holes in the desert to get their own way. I have put in paperwork to stay here when my unit leaves, still waiting to hear back from uncle on that one, should be approved since Barry is supposed to be announcing a troop increase.
