THOMAS L. BOGGIO
----Artist -----
Mission Statement:
To help others more artistically since Leonardo: Bringing out GodÂs gift in others.
Boggio is an artist that is dedicated to producing quality fine art. For over 30 years, Boggio has produced works of art. Many of his paintings have won first place at various artist competitions and art shows. Although Boggio has received awards, his works of art are not created just to win a prize or to even make a sale. Awards and money are not the driving force directing the creation of his paintings. To Boggio it is not important to win awards or to make a sell. What is totally paramount to Boggio is producing: Avant-garde Evangelistic Paintings  ÂArt works with a soul purpose. After being born again, BoggioÂs true purpose in life is to help other people be saved and receive GodÂs gift of eternal life.
Boggio was born again, as a child of the Living God, on a Thursday night January 12, 1995. On that night Boggio was driving in his car and was listening to the soul saving preaching of Dr. Charles Stanley on KCCV 92.3 FM. When Dr. Stanley gave the invitation to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Boggio pulled his car into the Ward Parkway Shopping CenterÂs parking lot, bowed his head and said the sinnerÂs prayer.
From that moment on BoggioÂs life began to really change. God started cleaning up BoggioÂs life by removing people and possessions that did not fit His plan and purpose for BoggioÂs life. After Boggio accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, his wife along with many of his friends and family members rejected him.
At that time, the transition was very painful for Boggio. But during that time BoggioÂs faith grew and was strengthened. God quickly replaced the people that rejected him with truly kind, caring, loving and godly people. Because of all of that,...Expand for more
Boggio learned that he could truly trust in God no matter what happens. Boggio learned first hand the truth of Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. No matter what happens to the believer in Jesus Christ  God will work it out for his good.
God took BoggioÂs God given artistic talent and gave him a real purpose for his life. Boggio has purposely vectored his artistic talent to create exclusively Avant-garde Evangelistic Paintings  ÂArt works with a soul purpose. Along with each painting, Boggio has created a poem in free verse that enhances the meaning and passion of the painting. Boggio never publicly displays a painting without its accompanying framed 17x11 poem.
Although Boggio uses pastel he does not like to paint small. The framed size of his paintings is 40x48Â or 48x40Â. Boggio is very enthusiastic about pastel. He has chosen pastel because its powdery surface increases the refraction of light providing an intensity of color unchallenged by other media.
In BoggioÂs large pastel paintings, the Art Nouveau Style is often reflected. Characteristically of BoggioÂs paintings, Boggio paints flat to purposely maintain the two dimensional feel of the painting. His paintings manifest a strong contrast between lights and darks and his use of color is potent and bold. His subjects are intentionally simplified making it easy for the viewer to recall the painting and its basic message.
Through his pastel paintings and poems, Boggio is using his creative and artistic talent to help those people that are chosen by God for salvation - to see that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to Heaven and to encourage them to take immediate action by asking Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.
Boggio prefers not to list or boast about his awards and accomplishments but is more than willing to boast that he knows the LORD (Jeremiah 9:23 & 24).
