Tom's Story

Hey All !! I hope this finds all of you well and that life is treating you well. It's absolutely amazing how the years have disintegrated right before our eyes. While much of all that's happened throughout the decades that have electricfyingly zoomed by are somewhat of a blur, at least to me, the earlier years seem to contain a multitude of memories which I'm able to recall with only the clearest of clarity. Those special, exciting, adventurous, ALWAYS enjoyable and entertaining times might just have well only happened in the last few days. They're recalled not only with vivid clarity but also with an intense appreciation and gratitude for all the wonderful friends that are eternally entwined amidst and the nucleus around every moment of those fantastic days. I don't know if this is everyone's experience but as I look back I find that during the classroom days, it seems as though my circle of friends was constantly evolving and changing. This is not to say that there aren't a few individuals whose friendship continues today despite the passage of time even if we may not be in constant communication with each other. In retrospect, however, there are so very many individuals who I shared an enormous amount of great, fun filled times - often HYSTERICALLY fun filled times - but whose path took them down one fork in the road while mine took another. The circle of friends during our early lives was constantly evolving as we proceeded into the various, different environments we found ourselves in as we grew. I'm grateful for all the blessings and good fortune that became part of my life's foundation from every single member of those multiple circles. I thank each and every one of you, ESPECIALLY those who I may have hung out and chilled with on a regular basis, but also those of you who may have only been there for a single moment of laughte...Expand for more
r. I love each of you for what you have brought into my life. Unfortunately, there are a number of extremely close and dear friends who have passed on from among these various circles but I also want each of them to know that I love and will always remember them. I'll forever cherish the gift they gave to me in their own unique, individual, special and sometimes completely off the wall, insane way :-) The latter quality (and I definitely consider it one of the, if not THE, best quality anyone could possibly possess) made it extremely easy and natural for me to relate to and be drawn to each of you with that precious gift. Again, I'm eternally grateful for being so fortunate to have you among the treasures stored in my memory. You each hold a special niche within that memory, in my heart and my soul. I look forward to having many, many more good, gut wrenching laughs with each of you somewhere and time when our paths once again cross. Although I may not have specifically or traditionally utilized this "story telling" section in the way it was intended, I feel as though I have. In my own way, I have shared my life's story. It's simply a collage of various stages which I've always been fortunate enough to have had beautiful, good, loving, caring and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, funloving special people a part of. Giving me the opportunity to express my appreciation to any of you who may come across this and have contributed in even the smallest measure during the writing of each of the chapters means much more to me than the overall story itself. THANKS MY VERY DEAR, GOOD FRIEND !! I'M ETERNALLY GRATEFUL !! MY ONE HOPE IS THAT I WAS ABLE TO BRING SOMETHING WORTHWHILE TO YOU IN RETURN. Love, Tom P.S. I'll do what they ask of me and give you some personal "factoids" in the Q&A section for the few of you that may feel cheated by all the above - LOL
