Tom's Story
After Eisenhower, I went directly into the Air Force for 4 years. Moved around from Texas to Alabama, then Kansas and finished in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. I started Scuba diving there in Lake Superior.
While I was stationed in Michigan an old Air Force buddy wrote me and invited me to the New York Worlds Fair. While I was on that trip I met my wife of now 43 years, Dorothy.
We have two natural children, Christine who is now 42 and a son Timothy who is 38. Subsequently, we went to Bogota, Colombia South America and adopted a newborn, Stephanie.
Out of this group we now have six grandchildren, five girls and one grandson plus our first great grandchild, another girl Our two oldest granddaughters are in college. One ...Expand for more
at a community college in New Jersey, the other at Yale in New Haven, CN in the Class of 2012.
Dorothy and I have done a little traveling. A couple of times to Burmuda and several times to the Bahamas where we have a time-share. Two years ago our children sent us to Dorothy's homeland of Italy for a 10 day tour of the country. The summer of 2011 we vacationed on the west coast of Mexico. Early in 2012, we went on a Western Carribean cruise to Jamaica, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. I hope I haven't bored you. Please reciprocate with a story about you. I left Decatur in July 1961 and have only been back for vacations, weddings and funerals since. I would like to know what I've missed in your life events.
