Life As expected, I was a professional musician in my first life, which lasted until about 1980. I travelled all over the country playing in bands trying to grab the brass ring and when it became clear that there was no brass ring, I decided to move on to something else. I did earn a BA in Music, so I was pretty serious about it. I like to play guitar these days for my own pleasure. I haven't played in a group for years. Somehow I transistioned from that into the cable television business where I produced television programs and worked my way up to be an executive director of a small non profit television station in Houston. It was a highly political position with the board of directors being appointed by the mayor and I learned a lot about government and politics during the seven years I was there.
