Hello after so many years ! Before detailing the specifics of my life these past 49 years, I'd like to say what has surprised me ( based on expectations from 1961): I didn't know what to expect in a professional career - I didn't know what a career path was or difference between professional, working,.... My family experience was that people worked , often pretty long and strenuous days, and provided for their families.I was accepted at BC in Accounting and changed my major to Mathematics based on a conversation with the Metropolitan Life Ins. rep.at a conversation around our dining room table --- 60's, satellites, ...Until then I didn't know that careers based on Mathematics existed. That impromptu conversation changed my directions and clearly the intervening 49 years. I've enjoyed a personally rewarding and satisfying career ( with the normal bumps in the road). I'm really hoping to see many classmates and share 50 years of memories. I graduated from Boston College in '65 and continued on to University of Maryland for an MS and Ph.D - all Mathematics.
