Tom's Story
Life
Graduated from Geneva HS, 1979. Froze thru basic training at Ft. Dix, NJ. Played in the desert of Ft. Huachuca, AZ before launching my assault on Tong Du Chon, Korea. Mounted the Freedom Bird in 1981 only to be hidden in the bowels of the Pentagon. Struggled through DLI at Monterey, CA.
Climbed Mount Fuji and ate raw fish on the great island of Honshu from 84 to 87. Snuck under the radar and found myself giving security briefings on and around Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Mercilessly forced to return to Korea in 1990 where Brigade staff abused my self esteem in Yongson. Stop-loss from Desert Storm pushed my short tour...Expand for more
out and I wandered down to Camp Henry in Taegu for a second fun year.
Alienated over fifty percent of the enlisted counterintelligence soldiers in the Army while spending most of my time confused in the puzzle palace of Personnel Command.
Retired from active service and became a civilian in Virginia. Sucked off of federal monies working for beltway bandits until 2011. Moved to Florida and began menial employment with Home Depot.
I have been married for nearly 38 years. My wife is a real estate agent in Florida. My son graduated from George Mason University and is a game developer/writer in Toronto, Canada.
