Tom's Story
After graduating Sheldon I spent one year in study and joined the US Army. I spent two years over seas in Europe and the middle east working with the British and Germans. While overseas I continued my study in International Business. In 1973 I joined the management team of a International franchising Corporation and married Colleen LeMoigne. After ten years with them I semi retired as a Director of the Corp, from 1984 forward I developed a venture capital company that in turn established and sold several companies. In 2000 I established an assisted living company in Eugene to provide services for memory care and the elderly and completed a state of the art 50,000 sq ft facility. fortunate that they are all healthy and successful with their lives. Colleen and I have been married 39 years and travel extensively, our daughter is a Chef with the Four Seasons in Maui and works with Wolfgang Puch at Spago's, so we spend a lot of time with her scuba diving and generally having fun in the islands. In addition to travel I am a member of the Safari Club International and spend time hunting in Africa and many other countries throughout the world several times a year. This has given me the opportunity to meet with many world leaders including President George H W Bush, VP Dan Quale, Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, Gen Chuck Yeager VP Dick Cheney. Their positions on world events has been very interesting. I have found through the years that although wealth development is important family and friends are more important.
