Tom's Story
That picture is of me and my sister, Laura with our two girls standing behind us...mine, Fran in black, her's, Lani. Taken in August 2009. I'm living in Elkhart, by God, Texas. Well, actually in Anderson County just outside the bustling micropolis (1,200 souls). Spent about 30 years in the radio bidness and another 15 in communications training. Now working as the Executive Director of the East/Central Texas United Way (Anderson, Freestone, Leon and Limestone Counties). But I'm also the only employee. Have 9 grandchildren and a fifteen year old daughter to go with them (yes, one grandaughter is 13 months older than my "baby"

If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have noise, people, and activity to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My mother and father, you can't have one without the other. They taught different but valuable lessons
I've been everywhere...Corpus, Houston, Palestine, Jacksonville, Sonora, Tyler, Wharton, Gatesville, Suga Land, Elkhart. Why did I move? When did I stop?
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jay Eichhorn, because we were really good friends.
None of those. Fishing, cooking, reading.
Biggest surprise? I survived
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the whole thing and add on a swimming pool. My dream home would be in Hawaii.
