Tom's Story
Life
After a short stint at Georgia Southern I was drafted into the US Army where I served as an Aurcraft Technical Inspector on Helecopter Transmissions driveshafts, Rotor heads and Rotors. After my Viet Nam Tour ended in Feb 1972 I was released from the Army and traveled across the US with David Skinner in a VW microbus. I returned to Avondale where I re-began my education At Southern Technical Institute in Marietta. is in the Controls Industry where I have worked for Robertshaw Controls; Dallas Texas, Georgia Tech Research Institute; Carrolton Ga. BBC Brown Boveri Compuguard; Pittsburgh PA., Lockwood Green; Spartanburg S.C., Time Energy; Houston Texas; and now Automated Logic Corporation; Kennesaw GA where I am the Vice President of Information Systems. I am still actively involved with my college, now called Southern Polytechnic State University where I serve as the President of the Southern Tech Foundation.
My wife, Dee, son Nick (21), daughters Jennifer(16) and Jessica(14) live with 3 cats Patches, Salem and Purrfect; one dog Smokey in Marietta GA.
