Tom's Story

After graduating from Berner, I left NY to go to college in the Midwest. I later went to work for Amoco Oil Co, remaining in the Midwest while completing my military service with the Kansas National Guard. After moving several times while working for Amoco, I decided I wanted to settle down, so I became an Amoco dealer, owning and operating as many as 5 service stations in the Kansas City area. I sold my last station in 2005, and instead of retiring, I co-founded T&S Management Services, LLC. (tsmanagmentservices.com). My partner and I formed a training and consulting business working with convenience store owners and managers. I have trav...Expand for more
eled to almost every state in the US helping retailers become better business operators. I even spent two weeks working with a young man in Kuwait who wanted to be the ‘The 7-11 of Kuwait’. When I first met him, he operated 4 stores. Today he operates over 110 locations in and around Kuwait. My wife Lexie and I have been married 50+ years and we have three sons who live nearby. We also have 4 grandchildren (3 girls in high school and a grandson who is a US Marine Captain stationed in Camp Pendelton, CA). I still manage to keep busy playing golf and skiing in Colorado. We have been season ticket holders for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
