Tom's Story
After Alisal, I went to Stanford and got a degree in Chemistry and Materials Science. Stayed there till 1984 trying to get a PhD, but left before finishing to join a start-up. In 2007, the start-up got bought out by Western Digital, and stayed with them for another 5 years, then in 2012 I took an early retirement package from them and been unemployed since. day is like a vacation. I have two boys, aged 26 and 15. I have been happily married to Setsuyo since 1994. I have an unpaid position as "Visiting Scholar" at Stanford now, just to hang out with young and smart kids. Currently living in south San Jose, and I go to Salinas about once a week now to visit my mom and sister. Hope to see many people in the 40th reunion.
