Tom's Story
Hello Manhattan folks,
I hope this note finds all of you well. A lot has happened since the summer of 1980. After I graduated from Manhattan in the summer of 1980, I attended Ole Miss for two years. I had way too much fun and returned to Jackson where I finished my under graduate degree in accounting at Belhaven. After graduation, I married Marjie Goodsell and we have a 16 yr old son named Will. Also after graduation I worked as an industrial accountant in the Jackson area. During that time I felt a call to the ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church. After many years of struggling with the call, I entered the ...Expand for more
discernment process and was accepted as a postulant for holy orders by Bishop Duncan Gray, III. In the summer of 2003 I entered seminary at the University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee. On May 31, 2006 I was ordained to the transitional diaconate, and on February 17, 2007, I was ordained a priest. I am currently serving as Rector at St. Luke¿s Episcopal church in Brandon, MS. I still see Herb Keck and Gary Magee. Herb and I play golf once a week during the summer. Marjie, Will and I live in Madison. My e-mail address is thfanning (at) hot mail. Shot me a note if you get a chance.
Peace,
Tom+
