Tomas's Story
Life
Born in 1963. The son of an architect & Inter-American Development Bank employee. Spent two years in Nicaragua (1965-1966) before arriving to Washington D.C. (Chevy Chase, Md.) where he spent most of his school days. After studying in the U.S., returned home in 1976 to Chile where he finished High School at Nido de Aguilas and Sagrados Corazones de Manquehue (not listed). president of the Student Federation (FEUC 1985 - '86) during the first free elections celebrated during the military government. Entered politics after the return of democracy in his country. Newspaper columnist and TV comentator. Has belonged to his party's leadership. Member of parliament for two terms (1994-2002). Since then dedicated to consulting and presently is the International Secretary of the Christian Democrat Party - CHILE (since 2002). Married and two daughters.
