Tommy Gaines:  

Life After having taught voice at the University of Memphis, Crichton College and most recently, Rhodes College I am now Assistant Professor of Music at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. I also teach private students in my studio at CBU. I was the Conductor/Musical Director of the Germantown Chorus,a community chorus sponsored in part by the Germantown Arts Alliance, the Memphis Arts Council and the Tennessee Commission for the Arts for 5 years until my appointment at CBU.I am vice-president of the Memphis Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing(NATS)and have had students who have won local, regional and national singing competitions. My singing career has taken me all over the country where I have performed in various Operas, Operettas, Oratorios and have done a great deal of Sacred Concert work.I have performed locally with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, the Germantown Symphony Orchestra, Opera Memphis and the Como Mississippi Opera Guild and was a soloist with the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble on their CD: Fairest Isle, The Music of England.
