Toni's Story
Life
At age 18 I joined the U.S. Army where I attended basic training in Missouri, then I was off to Virginia for school. After school, I was stationed in Ft. Campbell KY where I met my husband in 1996. In 1997 I went overseas to Central America, got married in 1998. June 1999 I was sent back to KY where I finished up active duty Feb 2000. Was an Army Reservist until Feb 2004. After active duty my husband and I moved to Ft. Eustis Virginia. We are currently in Illesheim Germany where my husband is a 1SG in the Army. I worked for the Department of Defense at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA for 5 years. I have been married for 10 years. . We are also currently pregnant with baby 3, due December 1st, 2008. I quit my job to be full time mom to my wonderful sons. However I do lots of volunteer work and fundraisers and have received numerous awards for it over the last several years. I continue to go to college to further myself more as well as my husband. I also attend training seminars for the volunteer work that I do since I am the President of the organization that I am in.
Workplace
During Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, I was an integral part of the war in Iraq and the war on terrosim. My job helped save and care for the lives of many soldiers and civilians. I will always remember it and know that I was a significant part of what will become our history.
