Toni's Story
Life
Hi! I was never really popular or stood out for any one reason in high school. Junior High was better for me. I didn't stick to any 1 group. I had a few very good friends, (still have them)! I left school a bit early. I met the love of my life in 1970. We married in August of 1971. I did graduate with my class in 1972. Our son was born in March, 1972 and my daughter was born in 1976. My baby just turned 30 in March of 06. That was an eye opener. She was married in August of '06. My son married in 1999, but sadly split in '02. He has a girlfriend now of almost 5 years. He's not rushing anything. No grandkids yet. My life is good, we struggled early on, but we made it. We have a custom furniture business. My husband and son do all the building. the office stuff. My husband has been the best thing in my entire life. (besides my kids, which he gave me) We just had our 35th anniversary. We have a beautiful yellow lab. .. He's a career change dog from Guide Dogs. We recently have taken in my mom-in-law. She needs a lot of help these days. I retired from our local school district in 04, I had put in 20 years here and 3 years in San Mateo. I worked in Special Education. Who Knew??!! Well, that's me. I thought when I joined I would be reading a lot of this stuff from a lot of you. But I was disappointed. The picture is of my son , me in the middle and my daughter in front. We were being silly. Our kids have become our best friends. We all enjoy spending time with each other. We laugh and we cry together!!
