Toni's Story
Life
As I sit here pondering how it is that next year will make 20 years since I graduated, I thought I might go ahead and update this profile. I just realized that in 2 years my oldest son will graduate from high school! Ouch, feeling old! I also will have 3 kids in high school this year. I can just feel my hair turning grey!
On the upside, I still manage to stay several steps ahead of the sneaky little buggers because I KNOW what they are up to! On the down side, they are learning to be sneakier. The sneakier they get, the more I turn into the fire-breathing, ass-kicking, restriction-wielding warrior-mom. Crap, I AM my mother.
I still live in Olympia, Washington. It's beautiful here. We have incredible summers (hot...Expand for more
hot hot) and winter is wet, but not really cold. We might get a couple inches of snow around Christmas to New Years... occasionally the kids even get to miss school for it... although mostly it is just a late start for icy roads. I visit friends and family in Alaska about once a year, but the longer I live here, the less I miss Alaska. And I really don't miss the cold dry weather at all! If we want to ski or play in the snow, we only have to drive a couple of hours to be at some great ski areas. It's fun living in a place where your grass is almost greener in the winter than the summer.
Anyway, that's STILL my life as a baseball-, basketball-, soccer-, fieldtrip driving-, their friends all think I'm the coolest-, Mom. =)
