Toni's Story
Life
I have been living in Colorado for 11 years. Been married for almost 25 years, we have 3 kids: Kat, Teresa, Dan. My mom is still living in SL (she had a stroke in 2005) and so is my brother Bill. We live south of Denver, and I work part time as a water aerobics instructor. Imagine that, a former competitive swimmer still in the water!!! I also do volunteer work, take care of our ranch and children. treyn880 at aol

I have been working full time for the last year for a Sheriff's Office, as a civilian, and enjoying it, after volunteering there for 2 years. I still get in the pool, but not to teach just exercise. I am still a "mom's taxi", taking the kids to and from their events since we live 15 miles away from their school. Soon my middle daughter will be able to drive, and will save me some driving. She is very into school. My oldest turned 21 last week, is in her 3rd year...Expand for more
of college. My son will turn 15 later this year and is into shooting sports, competing in 4-H. He is almost as tall as I am. I even enjoy doing some shooting. I need to protect my livestock from preditors! My husband has been a fireman/paramedic, for over 7 years. We enjoy living out in the country, our nearest neighbor is more than 100 yards away. We just had over 2 feet of heavy snow!! We did need it! We have horses, chickens and a duck, 2 dogs and 3 cats, and a noisy African Grey Bird. We built a 48' x 20' greenhouse last year, and will be putting it to full use this year. Our growing season is so short here, not to mention hail storms to destroy what you have grown. We love living here! I visit my mom, who still lives in SL, (assisted living) every three months or so. It is amazing to see how things have changed so much in SL, and there are still some things that are the same.
