Toni Fields:  

ven with two small children, I continued my education to earn a Master's Degree in 1989. Thank God for my supportive mother and step-father who kept my children in the evenings and summers. My most recent effort is to work toward a National Professional Teaching Services certification, commonly known as National Boards. I still teach at Lyman, 22 years this fall. I specialize in 9th grade Honors and Gifted for Advanced Placement preparation. Workplace I worked many jobs to get through college, including a photo shop and car rental agency. I love teaching, despite the insults from our governor and the huge task of getting teenagers to do what they don't want to do--work hard! I also love that teaching is a catalyst for my personal and professional growth. Anyone who doesn't change will rust, and I prefer to explore new skills and techniques. I enjoy working to create that spark of growth in my students.
