Life After High School I worked several different dead end jobs before realizing something needed to change. I enlisted in the Army in 1986 and served as an M1 Main Battle Tank Crewman (Tanker, or DAT as some call us) in Alpha Company, 1st Battalion 66th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, Fort Hood, Texas. I had the opportunity to do a little traveling and met a lot of good people. During that period I spent a lot of time playing in that big sandbox called the desert as well as some other interesting places. I met Barb about two weeks before leaving the Army in 1989. After leaving active duty I came back to Florida for a while and served in the U.S. Army Reserve and then the Florida National Guard for about 10 months or so before deciding to return to Texas to be with Barb and to finally complete my college education. Once back in Texas I enrolled in college and joined the Texas National Guard, 49th Armored Division. In 1993 Barb and I both graduated w/Honors from Central Texas College with Degrees in Computer Science, mine in Microcomputer Programming, hers in Business Programming.
