Tony's Story

Hello Fellow Oilers. I finally joined this site. After so many years of them bugging me lol. What prompted me was that I was talking to someone the other day and they asked me how long have I lived in Huntington Beach. Well after I thought about it and came up with 50 years (which kind of blew me away) I decided to see who else is still around. As for my story, I have a grown son, am married (but going through a divorce). I went to OCC and the CSUF, degree in business, I have owned several businesses including a contracting, real estate and lending company. I made it through the rough times and I am still standing. Currently I am a real estate investor with ownership interests in hotels, shopping centers, apartments, land, etc. I also have been traveling to Asia, spending time with some new friends exploring all the great beaches in very beautiful spots. Bucket list includes going to Italy to see my homies back in Sicily (unless they are all dead or in prison). I am in good health, considering the generation and time period we grew up in lol. I dont surf much anymore, but still love scuba diving, snorking, swimming, weights, outdoor stuff, etc. Still like all of the old rock and roll songs we grew up on. In high school I really did not participa...Expand for more
te in student activites much. Most of my time was involved with surfing, playing music (drums) working on my red 1966 Mustang and chasing girls. So many of you probably did not get to know me very well, since I did not just hang around on campus. I was a good student but was bored with the classes. It would be really cool (remember that word?) to hear back from anyone who was a classmate. I remember neat things like when Edision opened up and half of our friends went over there. The CIF championship basketball finals with Compton where there was almost a rumble in the jungle. I remember Mr. Ortiz, biology class, who use to let us ditch class to go surfing since it was the last class of the day. I remember Frank the rent a cop chasing me out of the parking lot when me and my buddy Steve Smith were ditching class to go surf. I remember having a sign in my car that said "ass or grass nobody rides for free" No disrespect to the ladies, but I thought that was kind of funny. Anyway, as we all know life is very short and there are no guarantees that we will see another day. So chill out and take it one day at a time. If anyone still remembers me and would like to chat over coffee, etc. Just look me up. I am on Linkedin an Facebook. Take it easy. Peace.
