Tony's Story
I am retired from teaching music in the Hazleton Area School District. I taught instrumental and general music for close to 35 years. I was nominated for Teacher of the Year in the state of Pennsylvania for three consecutive years, was named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers and was honored with a music award named in my honor; "Tony Baronio’s The Magic of Music Award" is now presented every year to a music student at the West Hazleton Elementary / Middle School.
I also play in the Smoke & Mirrors sax quartet. This group is made up of music teachers from the district.
In addition to music, I am also a professional magician. Below is a short bio:
The Magic of Tony Baronio is an award winning act that is a combination of music, magic, fantasy and illusion, all blended together for a very unique and entertaining evening of enjoyment.
Tony has won the 1st place trophies for originality and manipulation from the Magical Alliance of Eastern States (M.A.E.S.) in 1991, 1993 and 1995 for his stage and close up acts.

the best nightspots throughout the Northeast. Tony has performed for 16 years at Caesars Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, and Caesars Cove Haven, Pocono Palace and Paradise Stream Pocono Resorts. He has appeared on local and national radio and television stations as well as performing for a number of colleges and major corporations.
Aside from performing, Tony is also an inventor and writer of magic with many of his creations and articles sold and published all over the world.
Many well-known performers such as David Copperfield and Harry Anderson have used a number of Tony’s original ideas and effects. Recently, Tony was featured in several trade publications including the Society of American Magicians magazine MUM and the bi-monthly publication of the Magic Manuscript, a New York based magazine which is sold throughout the world.
