ANTHONY's Story
After high school, I earned my BS in mecahnical engineering at Case Western Reserve, started work with Dupont in Seaford, Delaware, and was drafted a few months later (last draft call ever). I joined the Army reserve, did 6 months of active duty and returned to Dupont. In 1975, I was offered a National Science Foundation grant wherein I returned to CWRU to complete my MS ME. I worked one year as a NASA contractor at Lewis (now Glenn) Research. I left to work on diesel engines at Cummins where I worked 24 years. become VP for Powertrain Engineering at Volvo Truck, North America in Hagerstown, MD. I retired in 2015 and still do part time consulting. I married in 1977, had four wonderful children, but unfortunately divorced after 32. years. I am now remarried to Taypee, a beautiful Thai women. We have 14 fantastic grand children. Life has been good. I've traveled the world, served on National Academy of Science committees, testified before the House Science Committee on truck efficiency technology, learned a lot, and I'm still learning. We have a beautiful home on a tidal creek overlooking water interspersed with marsh.
