In the last 10 years I have gone from working in Public Safety to Gov't Contracting and have spent a great deal of time away from my family and home. I still work in Gov't Contracting but fortunately I do not have to Deploy as often due to great changes at work. I have three beautiful children (Shane 14, Troy 12 & Nadya 9) who are all involved in there own hobbies which keep me busy when I am home and their dad even busier when I am gone.... (lol).
....and in a way, I think all of our stories are similiar in that while the paths we took may differ, we all have grown-up, and had life experiences that changed who we are, what we believe in and most of all figured out what is important.
