Tracy's Story
Life
After high school I went as far away as possible - in my case, Dallas, Texas. I finished school with a BFA in Cinema (couldn't pass Economics, so I watched movies for 4 years and got a degree). Left Texas the day after graduation & headed to Chicago, where I landed a job with Columbia Pictures. Had a blast, and enjoyed the work, but budget cutbacks meant I was downsized for the first time. Wandered around a bit, ended up in Pittsburgh, PA, which was horrible. What an awful city -- got lost every day trying to get to work. Left after 3 long months, & headed back to Chicago. ars, then decided a steady paycheck & insurance were good things. Worked in Retail Management (Fall Into the Gap), quit to go to Mardi Gras, then got into renovating old brownstones with some friends. Had a gas doing that, but was ready for another change. Left Chicago after 10 years, and moved to the small town in southeast South Dakota where both my parents grew up. Fixed up the family home (built by my great-great-grandfather), fell in love with a local and here I am, living in a small town on the farm. Never thought this is where I would end up, but here I am. Life is full of surprises, just waiting there for you.
