Life Oy, where to start? After high school, I took a year off and worked. The real world was not all it was cracked up to be, so I immediately retreated to college. I spent my first 2 years at Flagler College, in St. Augustine, FL. I studied Spanish & Latin American studies. I spent a semester studying in Costa Rica, but then decided I wanted to come home. So I transferred up north, 1 semester at Bucks until I could get in at Temple. I graduated in May '82 with a degree in History. I worked for 3 years at the American Friends Service Committee in their Latin America Program. I visited community service projects in Mexico and refugee camps in Honduras. I left there and moved to N. Carolina to work for Witness for Peace, a faith-based, non-violent movement working to change US foreign policy toward Nicaragua. They were, however, pretty unorganized and I left after 3 months. I came home again and got a job at General Motors (yeah, I know, peace movement to big business in a span of 2 months) and I worked there for almost 4 years before downsizing resulted in a layoff. I was living very happily in Lambertville in a half of an old farmhouse. I eventually ended up at Mobil Oil in the Princeton area, where I worked for 5 years before they closed (seeing a pattern?) and then went to work at the YWCA Princeton.
