Tracy's Story
The most important thing in my life is family: My children, my husband, parents and friends.
I live in Westmont! After 6 years in Hawaii- I bought a place only 2 blocks from the house I grew up in. Who says you can't go back?
I have 2 kids, a daughter who is 27 and a son who is 14. Ashley, my Hawaiian beauty, 27 - starting her first big job in Center City in September. She is living in Northern Liberties in Philadelphia. The whole package, both smart and beautiful. She has a boyfriend who seems to be pretty serious with (he says he's been waiting his whole life for a Hawaiian Jew) - haha -He seems to really love her and treats her a little princess- basically the same as Daddy always did.
And then there is Elijah , who is 14 and in 8th grade. Life at this age can be so complicated. I wouldn't go back for all the money in the world!!! He is still a little boy in his heart, and still loves playing capture with his buddies after dinner. Paint ball is another version of playing that he is a hero while single handedly keeping the world safe from terrorists. I know these days of "pretend " are so limited, and soon enough he will an adult, so I relish our time together. Still plan family vacations at least once a year when we all spend time playing games and hanging out.
I went to back to school night this year and thought to myself- I will ever move out of sesame street? I 've been going to "back to school nights for 22 years in a row!!!!! Thanks just crazy!!!! But I do love it. And I wouldn't change a thing. I worry when I talk to friends who are at a point in their own relationships ,where a 30 year marriage is suddenly ended. I try to keep th...Expand for more
e spark alive in my own relationship- finding a way to always make my husband feel like he is the most important person in my world- and always will be! I have always been a pretty independent person- but I would be lost without him. - we still enjoy Wednesday date nights, and the occasional weekend get away.
It is a strange , yet exciting, place to be in life. -
Funny I can not believe so many years have passed since High school- although I feel I have lived several life times all in the span of these years. I don't "feel" any differant. I seem to balance both family and Friends. Finding time to hang out with friends on a Friday night partying like teen agers , AND playing the role of June Cleaver putting my kids needs first and foremost ALWAYS without fail- this is not a sacrafice-- I love my kids dearly and being the best Mom I can be is the most important job I have in life! I have worked in various sales possitions for 20+ years and my husband swears I can sell glasses to a blind man- my dream job is still to one day own my own Thrift store-I am low maintanance but high ethics. ~~~ I won't shop at Walmart and I am proud to still be a tree hugger even when it has not been popular. I guess you might say I am a bit of a hippie~ still listen to the Dead- attend RatDog , Neil Young, Stealy Dan and Steal Pulse concerts.

Birthdays are a essential- growing up is optional!
Between watching Ashley and Elijah grow up before my eyes- and my brother Michael's untimely death- (he was only 42 when he passed) I have a understanding of how short life can be, and I don't want to waste even a minute!!! I feel- I have a full and happy life!
