Tracy's Story
After Pierre LaPorte and C.W. Jeffrey's I went to York University where I obtained my B.A. in Psychology. I then worked for Operation Springboard at a halfway house as a counselor for adult male offenders (from the Don Jail). Wanting to work with sex offenders, I decided to go to Centennial College's Correctional Worker program to gain experience working with this unique population. . in Criminology - my thesis on juvenile male sex offenders. I then continued working for Operation Springboard until 1995 when Ontario's Premier Mike Harris shut down all the provincial halfway houses.
In 1994 I married and had two boys - Kyle in 1995 and Ryan in 1999. I stayed home from work to raise the boys. I hope to one day return to the world of criminology but for now I am content to care for my boys. Kyle has special needs - he has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of Autism.
