Tracy's Story
Hi everyone! Well, when we left the hallowed halls of EHS I attended Camden County College for a full semester.
That was enough to tell me that I didn't want to be in a county college so I got a full time job with Commerce Bank. I stayed there for about 3 years, in which time I got married.
Then I moved on to become an executive secretary with a natural resource firm in Center City for 10 years. While there, I got divorced (1992)and remarried (1994)and with that acquired 3 children, 12, 8 and 6. I left there for broader horizons and a job closer to home.
I started working at an insurance company as a claims assistant to the Vice President. I LOVED this job. I was there for 5 years when (and another baby later 1999) suddenly the company had been sold and that I was out of a job. What did I do? I went to Disney World for a week with my husband and 3 1/2 year old. After returning I decided to just take tim...Expand for more
e off with my baby girl. That lasted until August of 2002 when I decided I had to go back to work.
I then started at Cendant Mortgage as the Executive Secretary to the VP of HR. That was fun, but also too far from home as it was in Mt. Laurel. I actually saw folks that I graduated with from EHS! (small world).
Well in March of 2004 I noticed a posting on EHS website for a Secretary to the Superintendent. I went for it and 4 years later, that's where I am. Back at EHS and loving every minute of it. I am Secretary to the Superintendent. I intend on staying here until I can retire in 21 years. I just celebrated my 40 th birthday and still don't feel a day over 18!
Now my children are 27, 21 and 19 (step children) and 8. I also have 2 grandchildren, 9 and 5 weeks. I know, weird. But I wouldn't have my family any other way!
Hope all of my fellow Vikings are fine and I hope to see you at a future reunion!
