Shortly after the 10-year high school reunion in 1992, I joined Cisco Systems where I started Cisco's Education Market Development department (now Worldwide Education) and the Advanced Internet Iniatives program in the Chief Technology Office. I also wrote the first trade book about the Internet in 1992 called "The Internet Companion," which was a national bestselling computer book and translated into 7 languages.

nce teacher preparation program at other universities. I also serve on the Advisory Council for College of Natural Sciences and am on several other nonprofit boards.
In an effort to reclaim some of my youth, I started running after the birth of my first child and have participated in a half-marathon, triathlons and long-distance bike rides. These activities give me the energy to chase after my 2 high-spirited boys, Harrison (age 11) and Henry (age 8). My husband, Patrick, and I will celebrate our 19th anniversary in October 2009. He's a business consultant with his own firm, Parker Solutions Group.
