Tracy's Story

Married my college sweetheart and have four grown kids now. One married and the other three are still living with us. Moved back to Clear Lake over 15 years ago and live in the same neighborhood I grew up in. Scary having your kids graduate from Clear Lake High. We have five horses, three Border Collies and two cats. There is never a dull moment around our house and we never seem to be home. The kids will be moving out in the next couple of years and maybe we will slow down then, but I doubt it. Ken and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and looking forward to our 50th. We have so many things to do together since the kids are grown,. This quiet little wall flower is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Speakers Committee and can be found all over Houston with her floppy eared rabbit, or dressed as a rodeo clown ent...Expand for more
ertaining children for the rodeo. I have found my true calling and love what I do. Those who know me agree. Whats better than working with kids and animals? I have been named Speaker of the Year before, so I must be doing something right or they want me to just sit down already......I'm sure you will find me out and about Houston when the rodeo comes into Houston. I guarantee I will be out there the day of the parade announcing on a corner, so just wave and say Howdy. I'll wave back, promise!!!! I'll be the one with the cowboy hat on.....get it? For those who don't know, and are wondering, we did lose my brother Rick Steambarge March 5, 2003. to a long battle of alcoholism. He fought, but the demons in the bottle won. I know he is in a better place and we will see him again. I miss him every day. I brilliant mind faded way too fast.....
