Tressa's Story

Life I keep updating my profile as if it is my own personal blog. I am 38 yrs old or young either way! I have a beautiful 6 yr old daughter who is just graduating kindergarten! YEAH! I still live in S. Indiana and I am enjoying my life with my daughter. She is currently keeping me busy with her swim classes, cheerleading, and girl scouts. I am still leading her girl scout troop and have to say we had a great year! I spend the remainder of my time volunteering for The PTA, Humane Society, Food Drives, YMCA, and the Red Cross...I enjoy community involvement and have met many wonderful people by doing so...For those of you who have read my previous profile you realize I have been traveling to Michigan a lot to visit my family and know that my dad had terminal cancer...I am sad to say he passed away on April 26, 2008....I was by his side that Saturday morning when he passed....the ...Expand for more
experience has been bittersweet but I would not change it for anything in the world...I have learned a lot about life and death through this experience...I know he is not suffering anymore and that relieves my selfish side which wished he could be here forever...I enjoyed my time with him and cherished each visit...I have a new appreciation for TIME....I get so caught up in running around and being on time I forget what a precious value it really does hold...so I have learned to adjust my outlook on life and the affect time has on me....I try to spend most of my time enjoying life....I still travel to Michigan frequently...my mom and I are leaning on eachother through the grieving process....I am looking forward to a great summer though!
